My Dad’s Heart

SADIK, a man in his 60s, lives a solitary life in a rapidly changing neighborhood of Istanbul, struggling to maintain his familiar order amid urban transformation. His isolated routine is disrupted by the arrival of his new neighbors, Defne and her mother Lale. Burdened by past regrets, Sadık has embraced loneliness as a form of self-punishment. But as Lale gradually enters his life, he begins a journey of transformation — overcoming his solitude and rekindling a sense of love and purpose. For the first time, he considers leaving his cherished home, which he once fiercely guarded, even believing others plotted to make him sell it, for the promise of a second chance. Yet, as events take an unexpected turn, Sadık must confront his forgotten mistakes and make peace with his past to find true liberation.
